1. Promoter 

1.1. PayJustNow Proprietary Limited (“PayJustNow”, “PJN”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is the promoter of this offer, unless otherwise stated. 

2. Acceptance of Rules 

2.1. By making use of the Takealot Coupon offered by PJN (the “Coupon”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions to the extent permitted by law. These terms will be will be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

3. Privacy 

3.1. All personal information collected in connection with this offer will be processed in accordance with PJN’s Privacy Policy, which is available at: https://www.payjustnow.com/privacy-policy. 

4. Eligibility Criteria 

4.1. To be eligible to redeem the Coupon, you must: 

4.1.1. be a South African citizen and over the age of 18 (eighteen) years at the time of entry; 

4.1.2. be an active PJN customer with a valid and active PJN facility at the time of entry; 

4.1.3. have a PJN account that is in good standing, meaning that it is not in arrears, in default, or flagged for fraudulent or suspicious behaviour as determined by PJN in its reasonable discretion; 

4.1.4. be a new Takealot customer who has not previously made a purchase on Takealot.com; 

4.1.5. register as a new customer on the Takealot website; 

4.1.6. have received a unique Coupon code from PJN; and 

4.1.7. successfully complete a qualifying purchase (as set out in clause 5) using the unique Coupon code, within the offer period stated in the communication you received. 

4.2. The Coupon will not be valid where the customer already has an existing Takealot account linked to the email address used to redeem the Coupon. 

4.3. PJN reserves the right, acting reasonably, to verify a customer’s eligibility and to decline or reverse the Coupon benefit where the eligibility conditions in this clause 4 are not met. 

5. How to Redeem 

5.1. The Coupon entitles an eligible customer to R250 (two hundred and fifty Rand) off a single qualifying transaction of R1,000 (one thousand Rand) or more on Takealot.com. 

5.2. The unique Coupon code must be entered and applied at checkout for the discount to be redeemed; the discount will not be applied automatically or retroactively to a completed purchase. 

5.3. Only 1 (one) Coupon may be redeemed per customer. 

5.4. The Coupon has no cash value, may not be exchanged for cash, and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to any other person. 

5.5. The Coupon may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon, voucher, discount, or promotional offer available on Takealot.com, unless expressly stated otherwise. 

5.6. Any amount of the qualifying purchase price exceeding the Coupon discount remains payable by the customer via the PayJustNow “Pay in 3” product. 

6. Technical Issues 

6.1. Although PJN will take all reasonable steps to ensure the proper functioning of its platforms, redemption of the Coupon may be affected by issues beyond PJN’s control. 

6.2. PJN will not be liable for any technical issues, invalid or expired Coupon codes, delays or failed redemptions 

7. Right to Modify or Cancel 

7.1. PJN reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this offer, or to correct any errors or omissions in these terms, at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or if reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or unfair advantage. 

7.2. In the event of amendment, suspension, or withdrawal of this offer, customers acknowledge and agree that they will not be entitled to any claim, compensation, or recourse against PJN, except to the extent permitted by law. 

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability 

8.1. The Coupon, and any discount obtained through its use, is provided on an “as is” basis and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, PJN makes no warranties, representations, or guarantees regarding the products purchased using the Coupon, and disclaims any liability for direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from use of the Coupon or the products purchased. 

8.2. PJN is not responsible for the quality, delivery, availability, or any other aspect of products or services purchased on Takealot.com, which remain subject to Takealot’s own terms and conditions. 

9. Indemnity 

9.1. By redeeming the Coupon, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PJN and its directors, shareholders, employees, agents, and representatives against any claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense arising out of or in connection with your use of the Coupon or your purchase on Takealot.com. 

10. General 

10.1. This offer is only valid in the Republic of South Africa 

10.2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions detracts from a customer’s rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or any other applicable law.

1. Competition Period

2. How to Enter 

2.1. To qualify for entry into the Competition, an eligible participant must:

2.1.2. Successfully complete a purchase at Takealot.com using the PayJustNow “Pay in 3” product and their unique code, during the Competition period; and 

2.1.3. meet all eligibility requirements set out in the PayJustNow Competition Standard Terms & Conditions. 

2.2. Each qualifying participant will receive 1 (one) automatic entry into the Competition. 

3. Prize Description 

3.1. 1 (one) winner will receive a R5,000 (five thousand Rand) Takealot voucher. 

3.2. 10 (ten) winners will each receive R500 (five hundred Rand) cashback into their PayJustNow wallet. 

3.3. The Takealot voucher prize will be emailed to the winner. 

3.4. They PayJustNow wallet cashback prizes will be deposited directly into the winner’s PayJustNow wallet. 

3.5. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash. 

4. Winner Selection 

4.1. Winners will be selected by means of a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Competition period. 

4.2. Winners will be notified in accordance with clause 7 of the PayJustNow Competition Standard Terms & Conditions.
